My name is Collin Trinkaus. My major is undeclared as of right [[#|now]], but I am looking to persue my career in [[#|elementary education]].
Below are the goals for my Foundations [[#|of College]][[#|Writing Course]].
For each goal, I've selected work that demonstrates how I addressed that goal during the course,
and explained how, citing specific examples from my work.

Goal A -[[#|Students]] will be able to compose
for particular audiences and purposes
I constructed an interview with a Professor at BU, so it would appeal to only the people who are
interested (elem. teachers, [[#|students]]) and the purpose would be to a [[#|teacher]] that is new
to generate new ideas to bring them in the classroom.
Goal B -[[#|Students]] will be able to compose using
language and conventions appropriate to genre
I made an interview as myself interviewing Tiger Woods, and I talked the way a typical interviewee would.
I also tried to talk as Tiger Woods (stubborn, very short and precise).
Goal C -[[#|Students]] will be able to read, select, and use
evidence critically to formulate and support arguments
LIT. Circle......Educating Esme
In the lit circles, we are reading Educating Esme, I was reading the book and came across a good argument that would be a good group discussion. If you were a [[#|teacher]] now, would you [[#|agree]] or disagree with Mrs. Esme actions as a teacher.

I was able to use information that I had gathered, and create a genre with it. When Tiger Woods scandal began I made a before, during and after picture collage with captions on the side.

Every Monday we had peer review for our genres, and that really helped me because it gave me multiple perspectives on what I should keep and what I should change.
